Frequently Asked Questions
How do the Nutrition by Design programmes work in practice?
The 3-week ‘Explore and Plan’ programme is a good place to start. We will explore your health issues and goals in detail. Based on our insights, together we will develop a plan which include the type of diet to follow and the types of exercise to explore. If you would like support in developing a more detailed roadmap and putting it into practice, the 7-week ‘Design and Transform’ programme is a good choice. Here we co-design a detailed personalised diet and lifestyle regime, test it out in practice, and adjust it as needed. We will take a holistic approach and look at the wider picture, including any issues regarding stress, sleep, and emotions. Both programmes can be followed by the ongoing ‘Sustain and Thrive’ programme. This is when you put the plan and roadmap fully into practice. The 'Sustain and Thrive' programme provides ongoing support to check your progress, overcome obstacles, and make adjustment where needed. You can decide at any time to discontinue the ‘Sustain and Thrive’ programme. You can also re-start it at any time if you feel you need some support to stay on track.
Do you also offer single coaching sessions?
Yes, I do. You can first schedule a free consultation session to discuss your goals and how I can be of assistance. It may be that a single coaching session is the best way forward. I also offer single coaching sessions to clients who have already completed one or more of the programmes and have specific questions or issues they want to discuss.
How can I book a session?
You can book a free consultation session or a coaching session by clicking on the button below and scheduling a time in the online calendar. Alternatively, you can send me a message using the 'contact me' form at the bottom of the page and I will be in touch as soon as I can.
What are some of the benefits from your approach?
My approach is to provide highly personalised guidance that match your nutrition and lifestyle needs and preferences. At the same time, you will be the one in the driver’s seat making the decisions. The benefits of this approach include that you will be able to stick to the plan we develop because it takes your preferences and specific circumstances into account. In addition, the tailored guidance and information will enable you to address your specific health issues. And finally, since you made the decisions, you will be motivated to stick to them.
What are your qualifications and background?
In 2021, I completed a diploma in ‘Natural Health, Nutrition & Diet’ from the International Career Institute and in 2022, I became a PREKURE Certified Health Coach. More recently, I completed the certificate in Nutrition Science at PREKURE to deepen my knowledge of reversing chronic diseases through diet. For a long time, I have been keenly interested in how nutrition and lifestyle influence your health and have been following the latest research and discoveries. I also have three Masters degrees in Psychology (University of London), Public Policy (University of Chicago), and Architecture (University of Delft). And a diploma in Counselling (University of the West Indies). For most of my career, I worked as a Management Consultant focused on organisational strategy and design. In the middle of my career, I had my own business as a Career Coach for seven years. Both as Consultant and Career Coach, I supported my clients in exploring options, developing plans, and successfully putting those plans into practice.
